About Us
Beautifully appointed rooms retain a sense of rustic class to your time on the mountain. With room service upon request, our rooms are designed to encourage our guests to appreciate the peace and quiet of Tirthan Valley and to be woken by the sunrise over the unspoilt mountain range of the Tirth Glacier. Our hotel is very family friendly; children can go for wilderness experience next to the hotel.
Back in 2022, agriculture still had a central role in the Tirthan valleys. Life was hard and full of sacrifices. And yet Mountiver had an intuition, or rather, a vision. The team of two partners from New Delhi, purchased a small plot of land above Faryadi, next to the road leading to The last village Ghalingcha. Our vision was implemented by Mountiver, started as hustle, helped built a small home upon the land. Making ends meet was not easy, but our team did not throw in the towel: we worked hard to make this dream come true, working as a dish cleaner, even a porter. The first savings rebuilt the small home into a lodge. Winter tourism started growing, as did the home: together with our entrepreneurial spirit, a lot of hard work and dedication, the Mountiver took shape until it became a large business. Our passion and foresight resulted in today’s new, refurbished Mountiver. It may have a revamped look but its core values have never changed: family, kindness, and wellbeing are at the heart of an offer based on genuine hospitality which never forgets its past while still looking into the future.
